Technical Plates

In the world of training, plates are among the most common and used equipment. The simplicity and effectiveness that distinguish them make them necessary tools when working on increasing strength.
Combined with equipment such as barbells, dumbbells, and even a Dipping Belt, the plates will increase the weight of the workout, making it harder and thus more effective.

What are Technical Plates?

There are different types of plates, which differ in materials, sizes, types of use, and many other features.

The research and development department at Xenios USA has designed a type of plates, defined as technical, which are characterized by having a reduced weight compared to classic plates. As the name suggests, this particular type arises from the need to perform technical work during training: this is the case when one is approaching the world of weightlifting with barbells for the first time or in the case of training children.
A second characteristic is that all these plates in this category have a diameter of 45 cm, exactly the same as classic plates. In this way, the person using them will get used to setting up the exercise correctly right from the start, and will not have to vary their posture based on the diameter of the plates.

Despite the particular circumstances in which they are used, even Technical Plates comply with IWF standards.

What types of Technical Plates are there?

Within this subcategory of plates, there are 2 different types.

Technique Plates in Polyethylene

They are designed for those approaching the world of Weightlifting: in fact, they are unique in that they weigh 2.5 kg but still have the dimensions of Standard Bumpers. This makes them ideal for learning the correct positions, providing an authentic lifting experience.

Competition Technique Plates

Available in both 2.5 kg and 5 kg sizes, these plates are very useful both for those approaching the discipline of Weightlifting and for those who have years of experience but want to refine their technique.
