The 3.0 version of the Strongmen GHD Bench (Glutham Developer) designed by the Xenios USA R&D is a biomechanically-advanced product that adapts to any physical structure. This training tool boasts the typical strengths of all the Xenios USA professional gym equipment.
Like the previous versions, the new Strongmen GHD is built with highly thick steel (3.5 mm.). The section of its structures are rectangular (7.5 x 5 cm), and the galvanize-finished bolts are M12 - 8.8 class.
The matte black epoxy powder painting - designed to resist over time and bear heavy workouts - is the same as all the Xenios USA steel products. Every sliding part is chromed in a galvanic coating in order to be scratch-proof during use.
Xenios USA paid attention to the cushion's design and manufacturing process. The seat cushions of the bench are built with a special high-density foam, without the typical memory effect so it doesn’t deform over time. The ankle-anchoring rollers are made of low-density foam to provide a firm yet comfortable grip. All cushions are covered in synthetic leather (PVC) with anti-slip surface.
The users' seat cushions are made with a thick plywood base with radiating edges to avoid any unintentional cuts on the coating. The half-moon shaped cushions are designed with an external cantilevered edge (on the side in front of the bench) with high-density padding. This feature prevents the user from touching the rigid wooden edge of the cushion with his lumbar area during the hyper-extension phase while performing exercises that require the user to turn their body upwards.
The frame of the new Strongmen Ergo GHD Bench has maintained the "V" shape of its ground front, as well as the total over-sized length, in order to be stable on the ground without tipping or lifting even with massive work lever.
To keep the bench stable during heavy-duty workouts, even during hyperextensions with deficit loads - such as exercises with Loop Bands or Wall Balls, the Xenios USA Strongmen GHD is equipped with two supports for plates. These are useful to lower the load on the side of the bench when used by massive athletes or with challenging workloads.
This new design eases the exercises with Loop Bands, thanks to two removable steel pins, placed to anchor the elastic bands.
The Xenios USA Strongmen Ergo GHD Bench is equipped with a V-shape handlebar with rubber handles on the front to help the user at the end and beginning of the hyperextension exercises, both while lying on their chest or back.
The most important news of the Xenios USA Strongmen GHD 3.0 is the user's ankle anchoring system. The new pantograph system allows a universal regulation that is always bio-mechanically functional.
Compared to the previous model, the rollers adjustment for the ankle anchorage has been improved: besides adjusting the internal distance of the rollers (wheelbase) in 3 possible positions, now you can adjust the height of the anchoring rollers always with a 3-position selection system. Besides regulating the fitting anchorage to the ankles' size and the length of the feet, you can now set the fulcrum of the ankles higher or lower on the ground. This system emphasizes the effects of the pantograph-based regulation system.
The new pantograph-based adjustment system allows the user to set the ankles' fulcrum point closer or farther from the seat of the user. This adjustment is linear in many GHD benches on the market but, on the new Xenios USA GHD bench, the roller moves towards the seat by following an arched path. Getting farther from the seat, the rollers approach the ground. This allows tall or short athletes not to bend their knees.
The mechanics of this pantograph movement has been designed by using steel pins that rotate on bronze bushings. This is the way to bear important workloads without compromising the fluidity of the mechanical movements.
The arc made by the pantograph system boasts 9 adjustment positions and allows you to move closer/farther to the fulcrum of the ankles to the user seat up to +/- 35 cm with an arc excursion up to +/- 5 cm.
In terms of safety, the Xenios USA Strongmen Ergo GHD Bench is equipped with knobs with a double safety system: a selection steel pin with retention spring and a tightening system screw. The knobs are also equipped with an internal Seeger retainer that avoids accidental unscrewing. The two ankles anchoring adjustments on the roller are equipped with an additional knob to guarantee a safety locking of the moving parts.
The knobs are equipped with anti-scratch silicone terminals.
Xenios USA designers have also thought of those who need to get on the bench by using the horizontal frame as a step. This part of the frame is anti-slip to guarantee maximum safety even when moisture and sweat are present. The anti-slip pattern is also on the ergonomic footboard of the bench.
Just like all Xenios USA training tools, the Strongmen GHD bench has been designed and built according to the UNI-ISO EN20957 safety standards and then verified by the TUV-SUD laboratory.
The Xenios USA Strongmen GHD 3.0 bench is a must-have for all Boxes, gyms, Strongman, and Powerlifting training centers. You can improve your strength, power, and endurance of all core muscles, lumbar, glutes and femoral biceps by using hyper-extension exercises. The GHD is an essential bench for all those who need to build a strong and powerful "core", as well as a strong gluteal-femoral chain. This is also a great way to support heavy workloads with the upper body.
The Xenios USA Strongmen GHD 3.0 bench is equipped with adjustable feet made in silicone rubber that protects flooring and levels the bench when needed.
The Xenios USA Strongmen GHD 3.0 bench is also equipped with moving wheels and lifting handles to be placed within the training zone or stored after use.
The Xenios USA Strongmen GHD 3.0 is signed with the Xenios USA logo on a steel plate to get a heavy-duty look.
The Xenios USA Strongmen GHD has heavy duty dimensions, weights, and construction characteristics. The entire bench has a footprint of 186 cm x 112 cm. 131 cm height and a total weight of 98 Kg.
